What would happen to her babies if she was sick? What if it was so bad she wouldn’t be alive for long? Would her mother be able to take care of her? The scenario played in her mind, and her worries increased. Could an older woman handle the three babies all at once? Elizabeth felt a terrible knot in her stomach.
