“But what’s the mistake? What should I expect?” Elizabeth asked over the phone in a desperate attempt to get more answers, but the doctor was firm. “I really can’t tell you on the phone, Elizabeth. Please, just come over,” he urged her. Elizabeth felt scared. She wanted to know now, but the doctor wouldn’t tell her. It was clear to her she wouldn’t get an answer from him except at the hospital.
