Kate called for the other volunteers, her voice trembling with excitement. Together, they gathered around the screen, their faces lighting up in unison. A collective sigh swept the room as they admired the photo. Among the nearly grown pups, one figure stood out immediately. Sadie. Her piercing blue eyes still set her apart, gleaming brightly through the lens. Kate couldn’t stop smiling—Sadie looked exactly where she was meant to be.
