As the sun began to set, Kate knew it was time to head back. She hugged Barbara and thanked her for giving the pups such a wonderful life. “You’re welcome anytime,” Barbara assured her. “And Sadie will always remember you.” Kate wiped away a happy tear and promised to visit again soon.
