Choosing the pain
The discovery Kate was about to make would reopen old wounds, wounds that were impossible to close up again once served. But they weren’t as black and white as her old lady suggested. Maybe Kate wanted the pain, or maybe she didn’t care as long as she didn’t have to live in denial any longer.
