Kate’s frustration suddenly flared. “Stop speaking in riddles,” she snapped. “If you know something, just tell me.” Daniel nodded, his expression serious. “The panda belongs to someone important to me, a dear friend—and that someone is connected to you,” he explained. “This cabin is close to her home, and this dog, whose name is Bruno, by the way, comes here often. So I figured he would stop by before heading home.”
