Life wasn’t without its challenges. Kate’s mother, who was also reunited with her long-lost daughter because of this event, passed away a few summers later. It was a sad event that broke both women. But they now had their sisterly love to find support and guidance in. When June struggled with grief over their father’s passing, Kate was there to comfort her. When either woman felt sadness over their mother, the other one was there with kind words.
