The crowd grew impatient. “Is this part of it?” someone asked. “He’s dragging this out,” another groaned. Confused murmurs spread. The moment had gone on too long, and their amusement had turned to irritation. They’d come for laughs, not weird silence. People began shifting, grumbling. Dwayne hadn’t moved.
