Beth looked into Tom’s tired eyes and said something no one expected—not even herself. “Come with me to my place. I’ll help you.” Tom blinked in disbelief.
His lips parted to speak, but no words came. He thought she was mocking him. After everything he’d done, surely this had to be a cruel joke?
