Strange readings
It was no accident that the container was found on this particular day. Coastguard buoys measured large-scale disturbances in the waters, strange ripples that couldn’t be ignored, and sonar reports kept coming in, one after another. Only something extremely heavy dropping down into the ocean could cause this kind of repeated movement, and that left officials concerned.
