Entering the container
Almost without realizing it, Izzy stepped forward. Then another step. The rest of the crew remained frozen at the threshold, watching her as if she’d fallen under a spell.
The silence was heavy, pressing in on all of them. Each clang of her boots on the steel floor echoed, the sound amplifying the eerie stillness inside the container.
