Before he could go further, the vet reappeared, blocking his path. “You need to leave,” the vet said firmly. Matthew’s confusion turned to anger. “Why won’t you tell me what’s going on?” he demanded. The vet hesitated for a moment before responding, “The puppies could be dangerous.” The words left Matthew stunned.
