Matthew watched as officers combed through the building, freeing animals and cataloging evidence. The vet’s shouts of protest fell on deaf ears as he was handcuffed and escorted to a waiting police car. The assistant was similarly detained. Seeing justice served filled Matthew with a mix of relief and pride.
