Middle of the path
She hadn’t noticed it immediately, as it blended in pretty well with the pathway. But there was a small, dark lizard on the road. Mia let out an excited gasp and gently approached the unique creature. It had a long and tender head and tail, but the middle part looked rough and rigid.
