Sirens and Lights
With trembling hands, he turned the package over, trying to decipher the cryptic markings on its surface. Just as he was about to tear open the plastic wrapping, the distant wail of sirens pierced the air. Derek’s head snapped up, his eyes widening as he saw a convoy of black SUVs speeding towards him, their lights flashing ominously. His heart pounding, Derek dropped the package and stumbled backwards.
