Rusted Door
The cockpit door loomed ahead, its surface encrusted with rust and marine deposits. Rick tested the handle, only to find it completely stuck. “This thing hasn’t moved in decades,” he said, frowning.
The two men exchanged a glance, knowing brute force would be their only option. “Ready?” Rick asked, bracing himself. Together, they heaved against the door, their grunts echoing in the confined space. With a jarring screech, it finally gave way, revealing the mysteries beyond.
