The Debate
As the offer to leave the island was presented, the community gathered to discuss their future. Some were eager to embrace the outside world, dreaming of opportunities they had only heard about in the elders’ stories. Others hesitated, fearful of losing their way of life. “What if we can’t adapt?” one young woman asked, clutching her child tightly. The pilot listened patiently before speaking. “The world will seem big at first, but together, you’ll find your place.”
