Decorating his life
Each piece of furniture he brought in, each picture he hung, was a step toward creating a life he could be proud of. The first project Charles and Tom tackled together was retrieving the car from the forest. With Jack’s help, they rented a flatbed truck and carefully transported the vehicle back to Tom’s garage. Seeing the car again, out of the woods and under the bright garage lights, stirred a mix of emotions in Charles.
