Jack turned the device over in his hands again, his mind racing in circles. Who had put it there? Why would anyone want to track him—or his wife? It clearly wasn’t part of the car, which meant it had been planted on purpose. A chill ran through him at the thought. Was he being watched right now? The idea felt absurd, yet the blinking tracker in his palm told a completely different story.
