Unsure what else to do, Jack called his longtime friend Mike. Explaining the situation out loud felt surreal, almost embarrassing, but he trusted Mike’s advice. “A tracker? That’s serious,” Mike said firmly. “You need to figure out who put it there.” Mike suggested contacting the police, but Jack hesitated. Something about this felt too personal, too close to home.
