First Break-In

A loud thud jolted Jack awake at midnight. Heart racing, he rushed to the window and spotted his garage door cracked open. Grabbing a flashlight, he stepped outside, breath misting in the cold air. Nothing seemed missing, but fresh scratches scarred the lock. His skin prickled. Someone had tried to get in. Were they searching for the tracker? Or leaving a warning? Either way, the message was clear—he was no longer safe at home.
