Calling in sick
Jack made a decision he never thought he’d make—he wouldn’t tell his wife, not until he had real answers. The next morning, he called in sick, his voice shaky but convincing enough. There was no way he could sit through meetings at work, not with this hanging over him. Today, he needed every hour free. He had to figure out who was behind the tracker, and more importantly, why they were watching him so closely.
