Technician’s Warning
The technician studied the exposed insides for a long moment before raising his head. His tone dropped, firm and wary. “Whoever planted this isn’t playing around,” he said quietly. “If they’ve been tracking you, then they know the device has been removed.” Jack’s stomach tightened like a knot. Just holding the dismantled tracker felt like painting a target on his back. He nodded grimly, realizing this mystery wasn’t anywhere close to being solved.
