Leaving the store, Jack felt the heavy weight of isolation again. At home, he set up his laptop and dove headfirst into research. He scoured tech forums, hunted databases, and even contacted phone providers under false pretenses. Each lead collapsed into another dead end. Hours passed, his coffee turning cold. Still, he pressed on, driven by stubborn determination. Whoever had done this had covered their tracks well—but Jack refused to let the trail end there.
