After a while, the signaling stopped, and traffic returned to normal. Jack wondered if he had imagined it all. He was exhausted from work—maybe his overtired mind was playing tricks. “Just get home,” he muttered to himself, shaking his head. But no matter how hard he tried to brush it aside, a crawling unease lingered in his chest. Something didn’t add up, and the silence around him made it worse. His nerves refused to settle.
