Opening a folder labeled “Brown, Alice,” he stared at the photo inside. His jaw tightened. “Why couldn’t you stay out of it, Jack?” he muttered. Closing the file, he leaned back, torn between duty and the truth. He knew this secret wouldn’t stay hidden much longer.
