A deep breath

Megan slipped the folded bills deep into her pocket and let out a long breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. Relief washed over her in a cooling wave, easing the tightness in her shoulders. The stroller had occupied too much space in her small house and in her heart. Now it was gone, traded for money she could actually use. She repeated to herself quietly, almost like a mantra, that it had been a good exchange.
