Packing up for the day

She began tidying up the last of her booth, folding soft baby clothes into a cardboard box and stacking the stuffed animals neatly on top. The day had stretched long and hotter than she liked, and all she wanted was to go home, pour a cold drink, and step into a refreshing shower. In the back of her mind, questions lingered about the man, but she pushed them aside quickly, determined not to overthink it.
