Holloway breaking silence
For a long moment, nobody spoke. Robert crouched beside the stroller, resting one hand lightly against its side, almost reverently, as though it were fragile. Megan crossed her arms tight over her chest, trying to contain the knot twisting in her stomach. Finally, it was Mr. Holloway who broke the silence. “Alright,” he said evenly, calm as ever. “We’re here. Show us what’s so important.” Megan swallowed hard, bracing herself for whatever was about to come.
