A trap?
The passageway curved, then opened into a wider space. Jason and Emily paused, listening to the sound of dripping water. “This place is bigger than I thought,” Jason said. Emily nodded, gripping his arm. “What if this is a trap?” she whispered. Jason didn’t answer, scanning the cavern for movement. “Just stay close,” he said, squeezing her hand. Emily’s heart raced as they continued forward, step by cautious step, through the silent cave.
