An unnatural structure
The shape seemed unnatural, almost as if it had been deliberately formed rather than naturally built. It didn’t have the smooth, layered structure he was used to seeing in hornet nests. Out of curiosity, he carefully peeled back a small section, expecting to see the usual honeycomb-like interior that was typical for insect nests. Instead, what he revealed deepened the mystery, leaving him unsettled and more curious than ever before.
