John’s stomach tightened at Mark’s confirmation. He had already suspected that something was strange about the nest, but hearing Mark say it out loud made it feel more real. If it wasn’t built by hornets or wasps, then what exactly had made it? The thought sent an odd chill down his spine. His mind turned over possibilities, none of which seemed safe or comforting, each one worse than the last.
