Two campus security guards stood silently in the hallway. Their arms were crossed, and they weren’t smiling. “We’ve been instructed to escort you off the property,” one said. Bill nodded, clutching his box tighter. He tried not to let the humiliation show, but the lump in his throat returned with force.
