The Trap
Harold stood still, his face set in grim acceptance. He looked at Marco without fear, only certainty, as if everything was unfolding exactly as he expected.
“Now they’ll assume we both died down here,” he muttered. The words cut deeper than the dust. Harold wasn’t worried about rescue. He was counting on silence.
