But even though Tuson and his crew did this work for 5 years, from 1995 until early 2000. They were met with a major problem that struck them at the end of their stay on the ocean floor. Their lab was purposefully hidden by the government, to avoid unwanted onlookers. It’s not like they were doing anything illegal, but their work could not be disturbed.
