On their third morning, Emily suggested exploring farther. A local boat operator, Win, recommended a quiet patch just beyond the reef, handing them a paper map with directions.
“You’ll be alone there,” Win promised. Jake imagined peaceful isolation and the sound of waves. Before noon, they boarded his small boat, eager for a new adventure together.
