The older of the two fishermen stepped forward. “Fishing wasn’t enough. The catches were growing increasingly disappointing, fuel prices rose, and our families were drowning in debt. We were watching everything fall apart.” His brother looked stunned. “So you disappeared?” he asked. “We… took out life insurance,” fisherman admitted. “The money went to our wives. It saved them. We didn’t plan to ever be found.”
