Captain Win guided the boat toward shore, since no pier was available. The vessel idled offshore, waiting, while Emily and Jake prepared to step into the shallow water.
They hopped overboard, carrying their bags through waist-high waves until they reached the sand. Turning back, they waved their thanks to Win as he slowly sailed away.
