Back downstairs, Elliot entered a dining room with a massive table that could seat twenty. Yet only one chair showed signs of use. At its place was a photo of a younger Elliot, likely from high school. He remembered it—taken during a field trip. “This is beyond strange,” he said out loud, rubbing his temples. His uncle had clearly watched him for years.
