“That was the beginning,” Andrew whispered. His voice cracked, and his eyes glistened under the dim light. “No calls. No signals. No hope of rescue.” He paused, trembling. “And things only escalated after that. Look around you.” He gestured toward the survivors huddled in the room. “There are only ten of us left now, hiding in this sealed chamber.” The silence that followed his words made Morgan’s skin crawl with unease.
