Without another word, Captain Ross turned and led them toward a heavy steel door behind the main engine pipes. His boots echoed off the grates as he walked. Dylan and Mason followed closely, gripping their flashlights like weapons. “The others are safe,” the captain said. “We made it through together. Twenty of us. We’ve been surviving in the food storage area just behind this room.”
