Keller dug deeper into the rusted box, brushing past the photos. His hand paused, pulling out a sealed envelope, its paper less yellowed than the rest.
“This one’s newer,” he murmured. Luke’s breath hitched. His name was written clearly across the front, in Carl’s familiar hand. It hadn’t been buried for strangers—it had been left specifically for him.
