Andrew nearly gasped as warm, humid air swept across his cheeks. The reindeer’s breath carried a musky, earthy scent, thick with pine and soil. His skin prickled as the animal’s snout hovered only inches from his face. A shiver raced down his spine, every nerve buzzing. The tension in the air was unbearable—so fragile that one twitch, one slip of movement, could shatter everything. The wild giant was close enough to crush him instantly.
