A Moment Alone
He looked around. Nobody else was around still. The road was empty. No neighbors watching from windows. Andrew almost wanted someone to witness this—to prove it happened and he wasn’t going crazy. But maybe it was better this way. A crowd might’ve scared the animal. Cameras might’ve broken the spell. This moment, strange and fragile, belonged to the two of them alone.
