Twisting and Turning

The reindeer came down hard, hooves clattering against the asphalt like heavy drumbeats. Then it spun in frantic circles, antlers slicing through the air with sharp, dangerous sweeps. Andrew flinched, convinced it might charge at him any second. But it didn’t. The motion wasn’t directed at him. Instead, it looked wild, distressed, like something had spooked the animal badly. Andrew’s fear deepened, but so did his confusion. What was tormenting this creature?
