Andrew froze, panic urging him to flee. But he forced himself to hold still, squinting against the tension. Then, almost instinctively, he shut his eyes tight. It was the same act that had spared him before, when he first met his reindeer guide. He hoped it would work again. His heart thundered in his chest.
