Poisoned Stream

On the other side of the building, the truth of its impact bled into the world. Thick, dirty residue poured out of its drains and streamed into the river below. The water, once clear and alive, now ran black. Andrew’s throat tightened as he watched the pollution snake away, poisoning everything it touched. Around the factory, the forest was already withering. The inhabitants, both plant and animal, were being erased silently and swiftly.
