Nature Returns

Signs of hope appeared slowly, almost cautiously. Small shoots broke through the earth where stumps had once stood. The blackened river began to clear, and fish returned, darting through water that no longer stank of chemicals. Birds sang again, their voices bright and alive, weaving a new chorus through the forest. Nature had been wounded, yes—but it was fighting back. And for the first time in years, it was breathing again.
