Rose stepped out slowly, gravel crunching beneath her shoes, her eyes locked on the strange house. It looked like the kind of place that could haunt your dreams long after you walked away. “Is this even wise for us?” she murmured, brushing hair from her face as a chill ran through her. Arthur joined her and gave a small shrug. “Maybe not. But everything else has turned us down. This one hasn’t—at least not yet.”
