Upstairs

The second floor held even more surprises. Five full bedrooms stretched across the hallway, each distinct with carved woodwork and thick, heavy doors. One room opened into bay windows overlooking the quiet woods behind the house. Another featured built-in shelves running from floor to ceiling, perfectly designed for books or keepsakes. Rose stepped inside, already picturing plants, curtains, and furniture filling the spaces. “This would make a study,” she whispered. Arthur grinned. “Not bad at all.”
